July 10, 2023Grab your sparklers and head over to our Tampa LGBTQ health clinic! We’d love to show you all our services to our community.
We opened our Harmony Healthcare Orlando clinics because we saw the growing need for an inclusive healthcare environment. At our Tampa LGBTQ health clinic, our compassionate team strives to enhance community health through advocacy, respect, and integrity. Together, we work to fill gaps in care and make a positive difference in people’s lives. Here’s what awaits you at our clinic.
An Inclusive Atmosphere
When you step into any of our clinics, our friendly team will welcome you with a smile and guide you to your own private room. There, our healthcare team will discuss any concerns you may have and suggest avenues of care. We create a judgment-free space and embrace everyone in our community seeking medical advice, care, or testing options.
No-Cost STI Testing
Our mission is to educate our community on the importance of getting tested and make it simple to do so. We follow CDC guidelines and recommend that anyone who is sexually active get tested for STIs at least once a year. Getting tested is part of a comprehensive healthcare strategy, and we want to ensure that everyone has access to reliable and convenient testing options.
Our Tampa LGBTQ health clinic offers testing for:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Syphilis
- Herpes
- Hepatitis C
- HIV
- And others
Even if you feel well, getting tested is important because many STIs can be present without symptoms.
No-Cost STI Treatment
If a test reveals that treatment is your next step, we’re here for you! Just like testing, treatment for an STI is another part of your healthcare journey, and we can lock arms with you through the process. The good news is most STIs can be cured with treatment. Those that can’t be cured can be well controlled with the proper medication.
Most STIs are treated with either antibiotics or antiviral medications. Our dedicated healthcare team will provide ongoing support and guidance to monitor your progress and assist you in achieving your best health.
PrEP And PEP For HIV
Pre-exposure prophylaxis, commonly known as PrEP, is a daily medication that effectively prevents HIV infection. Taking PrEP consistently works wonders in blocking the virus from spreading in your body, particularly if you’re at risk due to specific activities. If you’re concerned about HIV exposure, let’s have a conversation about this essential preventative treatment.
Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) utilizes antiretroviral medicines (ART) after a potential HIV exposure to prevent infection. Starting PEP within 72 hours of possible HIV exposure maximizes its effectiveness. If you suspect recent HIV exposure, it’s important to talk about beginning this medication promptly.
Non-Medical Community Services
To fully serve our community, we offer many services beyond medical care. When you come to our compassionate LGBTQ health clinic, our team is here to help you connect with resources for food assistance, public support programs, job opportunities, and financial aid. We provide transportation services and telehealth options for those who need assistance getting to our clinics.
