The GayDayS Orlando Expo And Everything Else We’re Looking Forward To This Summer
May 12, 2022It’s June, It’s Pride Month – Come Find Us at These Events!
June 17, 2022Finding the right healthcare provider is so important. You need a medical team on your side that really cares about you and your life. If you’re looking for LGBTQ-friendly medical providers in Tampa (and anywhere else in Central Florida), look no further than Harmony Healthcare Orlando.
There are so many different factors that can have an impact on who you choose to see for medical care, and we know that. If you’re a part of our LGBTQ+ community, you want a doctor who is familiar with your health concerns. Our LGBTQ-friendly medical providers in Tampa, Orlando, and Kissimmee are comfortable discussing anything with you! That includes PrEP, PEP, STI testing, or questions you may have about your sexuality or gender identity.
Not only do we have offices conveniently located in Tampa, Orlando, and Kissimmee, we even have virtual visits available for current patients. Telehealth has been growing in a big way over the last few years, and we are here for it. It makes healthcare more accessible than ever, and it’s a great way to contain illnesses if you’re feeling sick and need to see a doctor. Here’s what you need to know about our virtual options.
What Do I Need to Know About A Telehealth Appointment?
While we can’t turn to a virtual visit for every kind of appointment, there are many that can take place from the comfort of your couch! You can attend our telehealth appointments using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
We have a free patient messaging app, and you can have your appointment by video or phone. It’s compatible with Apple and Android operating systems and easy to download from the app store.
What to Expect From Your Virtual Visit
You’ll schedule your telehealth appointment the same way you would schedule any other appointment – the only difference is you won’t have to leave your home! During the appointment, you’ll chat with a member of our healthcare team about any of your concerns. We may ask you about any symptoms that you’ve been experiencing and go over your next steps. We can also write or refill some prescriptions during a telehealth visit.
Depending on the reason for your appointment, we may need to schedule a follow-up visit in our office.
Is Telehealth Available for New Patients?
At this time, our telehealth services are available to current patients, but you can become one of our patients by calling our office! We’re always happy to bring new people into our community at Harmony Healthcare Orlando, and because it’s so important to us to get to know you, your initial visit will need to be in person.
